Politicians represent themselves, not you
For years we've watched as politicians move forward with their agendas, ignoring the wishes of those that voted them into power. They take money from big businesses and vote however their corporate sponsors want. If you’re not a white, heterosexual man, you’ll be waiting years for equality, pinning your hopes on someone that’ll almost certainly flip-flop the moment they get a donation from an opposing sponsor. Democrat politicians only cater to Democrats and Republican politicians only look after Republican voters.
The Athenian Voting platform will empower regular people to raise issues and vote on all the subjects that might impact you and your family. The intention is to retire all politicians from government permanently. It’s become increasingly evident they can’t do their job. We need to fire them and take control ourselves. A Republic cannot ensure that everyone’s opinions are heard; only a Direct Democracy can do that.
Get Involved
No politician will ever suggest or support a system like this because not one of them wants to lose money and power. If they say they're against this, they're against you having a direct say in our future. This fair voting system can only be adopted by the people. Athenian Voting
This idea isn't new. Citizens directly voting on governmental procedures and issues started in the 6th century BC. Greece tried a few variations of democracy until 27 BC when Caesar Augustus became Emperor of the Roman Empire, making Greece one of the many countries that make up the Roman Empire. The Athenian Voting system lasted hundreds of years, and we expect the same to be true of the new Athenian Voting platform.
